Grace Groups move faith beyond the living room—supporting children, families, schools, first responders, shelters, recovery ministries, and neighbors facing crisis across our community.

Many needs. One shared calling.

Rather than organizing impact by individual Grace Group, these themes show the broader ways groups have served together.

Feeding & Basic Needs

Groups responded to immediate, practical needs with food, household goods and everyday essentials.

  • Two carloads of groceries, clothing basics and hygiene products for students and families experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
  • Easter dinners for local fire and EMS teams, plus a meal and grocery support for a family with a medically fragile newborn.
  • Fourteen bags of household items for Haven, each paired with a $25 gift card and handwritten note.
  • A washing machine purchased for a mother who had recently become unemployed.

Children & Youth

Several projects focused on children facing instability, foster care, school needs or difficult life circumstances.

  • 125 pairs of underwear, 125 pairs of socks and 32 pairs of shorts for Wildwood Elementary.
  • 20 emergency duffle bags with toiletries, towels and activity books for foster children.
  • Support for Wildwood Elementary's Wildcat Prime PBIS store and a summer-camp scholarship for a child who had recently lost her mother.
  • Immediate-needs supplies, gift cards and financial support for a residential home serving teenage girls.

Housing, Recovery & Crisis Support

Grace Groups supported organizations and neighbors navigating homelessness, addiction, domestic crisis and other urgent needs.

  • Approximately $2,700 plus household, personal-care, food and garden supplies for House of Hope, a Christian residential recovery program.
  • Household goods, personal-care items, grocery gift cards and a bunk bed for Haven of Sumter & Lake Counties.
  • Support for Lutheran Church Charities Comfort Dogs and a youth-focused suicide-prevention organization.
  • Assistance to families in transition and other neighbors facing housing insecurity.

Serving Our Community

Some projects were simply about showing up—encouraging the people and organizations serving our neighbors every day.

  • Lunch served to the Wildwood Police Department, with time spent thanking and encouraging officers and staff.
  • Supplies for the Sumter County Foster Care Agency.
  • Support directed to a counseling ministry and community education for older adults.
  • Additional projects and partnerships continuing to develop across Grace Groups.
